Argelia sits in a cafe in Tijuana, MX, on August 15, 2018. She traveled with the migrant caravan that started at the Guatemala-Mexico border in late March. She was recently arrested by the Tijuana police. Born in Guatemala but grew up in Honduras. While in Tijuana she was walking with two male friends and a guy who claimed to be MS-13 attempted to rob them. When the police arrived they arrested everyone. Argelia refused to be strip-searched and was put in a cold cell for 12 hours. Police threatened that she would be deported but when the National Institute of Immigration realized that she has a humanitarian visa they released her. Argelia says the Tijuana police often takes them for no reason.
